Elisa's Pedicure
Pedicure in Enschede

In brief
- The classic pedicure takes care of your nails, cuticles and hard skin. The spa pedicure does the same, with a foot bath, a scrub and a mask added.
- With both you can have gel polish or BIAB applied to your toenails. On your toes it usually stays looking good for longer than on your hands.
- For good foot care, count on an appointment every six to eight weeks, or before the season when you wear open shoes.
- For a pedicure you go to Elisa's Pedicure, which is here in our building. A pedicure there costs from €40.00. If you have a question, send a WhatsApp message to +31 6 57 32 05 23.

Classic or spa and with or without colour.
Both take care of your feet. The difference lies in the time, the foot bath and how much room there is for relaxation.

Feet get attention once they're on show.
Most appointments are booked in spring, when the first open shoes come out of the wardrobe, or just before a holiday. Understandable, though your feet do the work all year round. Hard skin that builds up quietly over the winter is suddenly a thick layer in May. In February you could have done something about it in ten minutes.
A pedicure is more than making your nails shorter. It's also about your cuticles, the pressure on your heels, the places where your shoe rubs and hard skin that's starting to build up, even before it begins to hurt. That's why a pedicure takes an hour, and an hour and a half to two hours if colour goes on your nails.
If you'd like your hands done too, you can do that on the same day at The Nailbar, which is also here in our building. You book that in The Nailbar's diary, so choose two times that follow on from each other.
How long you enjoy the result.
Toenails grow about half as fast as fingernails. That's good news for the colour on your toes.
The first few hours
Roomy shoes on
If you've had gel polish or BIAB applied, wear shoes that don't press against your toes for the first few hours. Flip-flops or something roomy are ideal, especially when the colour has only just gone on.
Weeks 1 to 4
Just carry on as usual
Showering, exercising and swimming are all fine. In practice, colour stays looking good for longer on your toes than on your hands, simply because you grip and rub less with them.
Weeks 6 to 8
Time for the next one
Around this time you see regrowth at the cuticle and the hard skin comes back in the places that carry your weight. This is the natural moment for a new appointment.
In between
Keeping it up yourself
After showering, rub a foot cream into your feet, especially your heels. A few minutes a week saves you a thick layer of hard skin months later.
When to come and when to check first.
A good idea if
- Your heels are dry, rough or cracked and you can't get rid of it yourself.
- You want well-kept feet for the summer, a holiday or a wedding.
- You stand or walk a lot for your work and your feet feel heavy.
- You want colour on your toenails that lasts longer than ordinary polish.
Check with us first
- If you have diabetes or rheumatism, you usually need a medical pedicure. Send Elisa's Pedicure a WhatsApp beforehand, and you'll hear whether you can come here.
- If you have an ingrown toenail that's inflamed or painful, see your GP about it first.
- If you have fungal nails or a fungal infection, say so when booking. That matters for hygiene and for the order of the day's appointments.
- If there's still gel polish or BIAB on your toenails, mention it beforehand.

Book an appointmentFrequently asked questions about Elisa's Pedicure
What is the difference between the classic and the spa pedicure?
With the classic pedicure your nails, cuticles and hard skin are taken care of. The spa pedicure also includes a foot bath, a scrub and a foot mask, for extra relaxation.
Does Moons do the pedicure itself?
No, your pedicure is done by the independent specialist at Elisa's Pedicure. They are at the same address as Moons, and you book in the booking calendar of Elisa's Pedicure.
What is the difference between a classic and a spa pedicure?
The classic pedicure takes care of your nails, cuticles and hard skin, without a foot bath. The spa pedicure adds a foot bath, a scrub and a nourishing foot mask, and there's more time for relaxation.
How often should I have a pedicure?
For most people every six to eight weeks works well. If you walk or stand a lot, or build up hard skin quickly, it's nice to come more often. If you look after your feet at home with a foot cream, you can often leave it a little longer.
How long does gel polish last on toenails?
Usually longer than on your hands, because toenails grow more slowly and you do less with them. Six weeks isn't unusual. If you see regrowth at the cuticle, it's time for an infill.
Can I go to Elisa's Pedicure with diabetes or rheumatism?
In that case, send Elisa's Pedicure a WhatsApp beforehand on +31 6 57 32 05 23. With diabetes or rheumatism you usually need a medical pedicure, and that's a separate specialism. You'll hear straight away whether you're in the right place here, or whether a medical pedicurist is the better option.
Who does the pedicure?
The specialist at Elisa's Pedicure, an independent pedicurist based here in our building. You book in the online booking calendar of Elisa's Pedicure itself and are welcomed at the same address.
Can I have my hands and feet done on the same day?
Often yes. The Nailbar does your hands and Elisa's Pedicure your feet, both at this address. Each has its own diary, so choose two times that follow on from each other.
