How your appointment at Elisa's Pedicure goes.

The specialist first looks at your feet and asks what's bothering you. Only then does the treatment begin.

  1. Looking

The specialist looks at your feet, nails and hard skin, and asks whether anything bothers you when walking or in your shoes.

  2. Foot bath and care

A foot bath first softens your skin. Then your nails are cut and filed, your cuticles tidied, and hard skin and corns removed where needed.

  3. Scrub and mask

A scrub removes the dead skin, and a nourishing foot mask sinks in while you sit back for a moment.

  4. Finishing

Your feet are moisturised with a nourishing cream, and if you like, gel polish or BIAB goes on your toenails. You walk out on feet that feel comfortable again.

When a spa pedicure suits you and when you go somewhere else first.

A good idea if

  • You want well-groomed feet for the summer, sandals or an occasion.
  • You have dry feet, cracked heels or hard skin and want more than just maintenance.
  • You want an hour to yourself, with a result that lasts for weeks.

Check with us first

  • With diabetes or rheumatism you need a medical pedicure; the specialist will refer you.
  • With a fungal nail or inflammation, see your GP first.
  • If you have open cuts on your feet, the treatment waits until they've closed.

How to keep your feet in good shape in between.

Morning

  1. Wear shoes that don't pinch, that saves hard skin and pressure points.

Evening

  1. Moisturise your feet every day, especially your heels.
  2. Cut your nails straight across, that way they're less likely to grow in.

A pedicure lasts four to six weeks. If you walk or stand a lot, hard skin comes back faster and you're better off booking every month.
