Vitamin B3 for pores, blemishes and skin out of balance.

In brief

  • With the Dermapen we bring the Meso Cocktail Niacinamide+ deep into your skin: 10% niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3, one of the most versatile active ingredients in skincare.
  • It works on pores, pigment and an unsettled skin barrier. Redness calms down, your complexion becomes more even and your skin produces collagen more actively.
  • A good choice if your skin is out of balance, or troubled by blemishes and enlarged pores.
  • The treatment costs €89.00 and takes fifty minutes. You do a course of four to six sessions, three to four weeks apart.

Why niacinamide does so much at once.

Niacinamide is vitamin B3, and in skincare it's one of the few active ingredients that works on several fronts at once. It strengthens your skin barrier, the outer layer that keeps moisture in and irritants out. It curbs the production of excess oil and pigment. And it calms redness. That's why it suits skin that is out of balance in more than one way.

At home you usually use niacinamide in a serum, and that works at the surface. With microneedling we bring the Meso Cocktail Niacinamide+ deep into your skin through fine channels, at a concentration of 10 percent. There it works on the pores themselves, on pigment that sits deeper and on the barrier from within.

At the same time the treatment prompts your skin to produce collagen, as with every microneedling. Your complexion becomes more even, your pores look smaller and your skin becomes calmer. Clients with oily, unsettled skin choose this variant most often.

Why clients choose this variant.

  • Enlarged pores

Pores that stand out on your nose, cheeks and forehead. Niacinamide curbs the oil that stretches them and the treatment firms the skin around them. Also read about enlarged pores.

  • Oily, unsettled skin

Shine, congestion and blemishes that keep coming back. See also what we write about oily skin and blemish-prone skin.

  • Redness and skin that reacts quickly

Niacinamide strengthens the barrier and calms. That's why this variant also suits skin that quickly turns red with other treatments. Also read about sensitive skin.

  • Blemishes and an uneven complexion

Light pigment marks and a complexion that is never quite even. With pronounced pigmentation or sun damage we're more likely to choose the brightening variant.

Fifty minutes from cleansing to protection.

  1. Cleansing and numbing

We cleanse your skin thoroughly and apply a numbing cream, which soaks in for twenty minutes. During the treatment you therefore mainly feel vibration and a slightly scratchy sensation.

  2. Microneedling with the cocktail

Zone by zone we go over your face, always at the depth that suits that area. Meanwhile we apply the niacinamide cocktail. Your skin turns pink to red, and that's part of it.

  3. Calming and protecting

Finally we apply something calming and a protective layer. If you want LED therapy afterwards, you book it on top for €20.00 and twenty minutes extra.

  4. The recovery

Your skin is red for one to two days, roughly like after a sunny day. Make-up is allowed from the third day, but preferably you leave it off for two weeks. Everything about the days after is under microneedling.

What a course costs you in the end.

You do a course of four to six sessions, three to four weeks apart. You pay per session and decide each time yourself whether to continue.

Frequently asked questions about microneedling with niacinamide

How much does microneedling with niacinamide cost in Enschede?

At Moons, microneedling with the Meso Cocktail Niacinamide+ costs €89.00 per treatment, and it takes fifty minutes. For a course, count on four to six sessions.

I already use a niacinamide serum at home. Is this still worthwhile?

Yes. A serum works at the surface. With microneedling we bring 10 percent niacinamide deep into your skin, where it works on the pores themselves and on the barrier from within. Your serum remains useful alongside it.

Will my pores get smaller?

They look smaller. Niacinamide curbs the oil that stretches them and the treatment firms the skin around them, so the pore stands out less. Pores never become permanently smaller; that's down to your genes.

Is this possible with sensitive skin?

Often, yes, precisely because niacinamide strengthens the barrier and calms. We set the depth of the treatment to your skin and build up gently. If in doubt, we look at your skin first at a first skin appointment.

How long will I be red?

Usually one to two days, roughly like after a day in the sun. So don't plan your appointment just before an important occasion.
