In brief
- With a classic lash lift we curl your own lashes along their whole length, in a round curl you see for six to eight weeks.
- Nothing is added and nothing is taken away: no extensions, no glue and no upkeep in between.
- At Moons it costs €50.00. With tint it is €55.00, and then your lashes stand out even without mascara.
- You lie down for an hour with your eyes closed. If your lashes grow straight or downwards, the Korean lash lift is often a better fit.

What a classic lash lift actually does.
A lash lift is a curl that stays put. We lay your own lashes over a curved silicone shield and set them in that position. Afterwards they stand up, in a round curl along the whole length of the lash. It is the effect you would otherwise create every morning with an eyelash curler, but for weeks on end.
We only work with what you already have. Nothing is extended or glued on, and you do not have to think about anything in between. The curl grows out with your lashes and disappears by itself once those lashes fall out and new ones grow back. That is why you see a lift for six to eight weeks.
If you want your lashes to stand out without mascara too, we tint them in the same appointment. The lift opens up your eyes, the colour finishes it off. Tint on its own is also possible, as a separate treatment.
Classic or Korean which suits your lashes?
With both we lift your own lashes, and they last just as long. The difference is in the shape of the curl and in the lashes it looks best on.

If you are unsure, just book a lash lift. In the salon we look at your lashes and choose together the technique that turns out best.
An hour with your eyes closed.
It does not hurt. At most you feel the light pressure of the shield on your eyelid, and most people doze off for a bit.
Looking and choosing
We look at the length, thickness and growth direction of your lashes and at the shape of your eye. Based on that we choose the size of the shield: it determines how strong the curl will be. If you have reacted to tint before, say so when booking, then we test beforehand.
Cleansing and placing the shield
First we clean your lashes, so there is no oil or mascara left on them. Then we place the curved shield on your eyelid and lay your lashes over it hair by hair.
Lifting and setting
The lifting lotion gives your lashes their new position, and in a second step we set that position. How long everything is left on, we match to your lashes: stiff lashes need a little more time than fine ones.
Tinting and nourishing
If you booked the lift with tint, we colour your lashes now. We finish with a nourishing treatment for your lashes, and then you are free to go. Keep them dry for the first 24 hours.
Who it works for and when we wait a while.
A good idea if
- You curl your lashes every day with a curler and want to stop doing that.
- Your lashes are long enough, but you hardly see them because they point straight ahead.
- You want the effect of extensions, but with your own lashes and without infills.
- You have light lashes and take the lift with tint, so they stand out even without mascara.
Check with us first
- Very short lashes. The lift does work, but you see less of it. We tell you that beforehand.
- Lash extensions that are still in. Have those fully removed first.
- An eye infection, stye, allergic reaction or a recent treatment on your eyelid. Then we wait.
- Brittle or over-treated lashes. We leave those alone for a few months first.
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding. Let us know, then we discuss whether to leave out the tint.
Good to know about a lash lift.
Keeping them dry for the first 24 hours is all the upkeep there is
After that you do not need to do anything. You wash your face as normal and you can use mascara if you want, although most clients no longer need it.
A lift lasts just as long as a Korean lift
Online you sometimes read that one technique lasts longer than the other. There is no hard evidence for that. Both grow out with your own lashes, and those renew themselves in six to eight weeks.
With tint you see the difference even without mascara
The lift sets your lashes upwards, the tint makes them darker right to the tips. Especially with light lashes, that is the difference between a lift you see yourself and a lift others see.

Book an appointmentFrequently asked questions about Classic lash lift
What does a lash lift cost in Enschede?
At Moons a classic lash lift costs €50.00. With tint you pay €55.00. Both take an hour, and you pay afterwards in the salon.
How long does a lash lift last?
Six to eight weeks, as long as the growth cycle of your lashes. The curl grows out and disappears by itself as your lashes renew. After that you can book again straight away.
What is the difference between a classic and a Korean lash lift?
With the classic lift we curl your lashes along their whole length, in a round curl. With the Korean lift the lift sits mainly at the root, after which the lash stands straight up. The classic suits lashes that already have some curl or that you want fuller; the Korean suits straight or downward-growing lashes.
Does a lash lift hurt?
No. You lie down for an hour with your eyes closed and at most feel the light pressure of the shield on your eyelid. If anything stings, say so straight away.
Can I use mascara after a lash lift?
Yes, after the first 24 hours. Keep your lashes dry that first day, after that you simply do what you are used to. Many clients skip the mascara altogether, especially after a lift with tint.
Can I combine a lash lift with my brows?
Yes, that happens often. We plan a brow lamination or henna brows in the same appointment. Book them together in the booking calendar, then we reserve enough time.
